Idaho Physical Therapy Association

The mission of the Idaho Physical Therapy Association (IPTA), the principle membership organization representing and promoting the profession of physical therapy in Idaho, is to further the profession’s role in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of movement dysfunctions and the enhancement of the physical health and functional abilities of members of the public through education, research, and evidenced-based practice.

What Physical Therapists Do

Physical Therapists have the rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in the quality of people's lives. Their work involves extensive contact with people - with both patients and other health care professionals.

For people with health problems, the physical therapist assists in the recovery process - making them stronger, relieving their pain, and helping them to regain use of an affected limb or to relearn activities of daily living.

Another role of the physical therapist is keeping people well and safe from injury. PT's do this by teaching people the importance of fitness and showing them how to avoid injuries, at work or at play.

Physical therapy promotes optimal physical performance and enables health-conscious people to increase their overall fitness level and muscular strength and endurance.

 IDAHO PT-PAC

The Idaho PT-PAC was formed to help support and promote the goals of the Idaho PT Association. Donations are used to help elect and re-elect friends of the profession. We are currently asking therapists to consider donating $25-100/year personally and $250 per facility.

You can submit donations using a credit card through our secure donation website at 123Signup: DONATE HERE

If you would rather send a check. Please make it payable to Idaho PT-PAC. Send it to:

Carmen Schmidt

Treasurer
12788 Smith Avenue
Nampa, ID 83651

Due to banking regulations we can not accept checks payable to the IPTA-PAC. If you have pledged money but have not sent it in, now is a great time to do it! Thanks to those individuals and clinics who have helped so generously.

Thank you,

Matt Booth, DPT, OCS
